European Order of Merit will also play this year a big role if it is about the important start places.8 players can qualify through the European Order of Merit for the PDC European Championship which is played for the second time in Germany. This year's venue is the "Stadthalle Dinslaken".
The following events are evaluated:
- the German Darts Championship in Halle 2009
- the two Players Championship Events in Gibraltar and
- the 6 PDC Europe Events in Gladbeck, Salzburg and Haarlem

Also for the highlight at the end of the year four players about the European Order of Merit can qualify for the PDC World Darts Championship. With it the tournaments in Nuland and Bad Nauheim are revalued after the summer break.
Which tournaments are evaluated, is not certain yet.
